MARSHALL'S WORKSHOP
Underground Labyrinth
This is a solo project I did for school. I made the level in Unreal Engine 4, placing and sizing all of the block mesh. I did all of the scripting within the Unreal Engine to include movement, pickup, and door movements. There are not any enemies placed in the level. This project was about designing the level and creating puzzles. The idea is to make your way through, finding all the areas in order to pick up all the artifacts. Once all artifacts are found, the player makes their way to the end and opens the sealed door.

This is an overview of the layout. I wanted to create the illusion of a maze without making it into a maze. I also wanted different heights throughout to change the players eye level.

This is the view of the level from the other direction. In order to create a maze, I blocked paths and locked doors to force players to have to find ways around.

This is the final area where all of the artifacts go. Once placed on the wall, the door to the right is activated and opens.

Island
This is a solo class project I did in Unreal Engine 4. I created all of the objects from the mesh within Unreal. I hadn't been taught how to do the water but I watched a few videos and figured it out. I also did all of the scripting as well. I wanted to create an isolated island in the middle of the ocean accessible by boat or water plane. I used side islands as markers to help the player keep their bearings. The object is to make your way up to the top to confront the enemy boss.

![]() This is the view of the small island on the left. It helps with keeping the player's bearings and adds to the aesthetics. | ![]() This is the volcano on the right side of the map. It also helps with bearings. The volcano is also suppose to smoke. | ![]() This is the main island. I wanted the player to transverse through the mountain to the top. | ![]() This is the inside of the mountain. It is really dark and the flashlight provides some light. Items are supposed to be hard to find in the dark, along with the secret area. |

Hotel
This is another solo project I did for school in Unreal Engine 4. I built the level within the Unreal Engine. I used some free furniture assets from the store. I also created and scripted the elevator. It was a real pain because the whole thing moves and I hadn't learned how to do it yet. This level is an escape level. The player must figure out how to get the elevator working and make their way down and out the building. Finding the doors locked, the player must fight all the enemies to escape.

Enemies can be seen in the background. | ![]() This is the view into the lobby when the elevator reaches the bottom. The player steps out and makes their way to the final fight. | ![]() This is the elevator circuit breaker area. The player must make their way down from the room through the stairway and turn on the power to the elevator. | ![]() This is an overview look from the 2nd level in the final area. |

Jailbreak
This is one of the first full level designs I made in Unreal Engine 4. The player must find all of the keys to the prison doors and make their way up. The design was pretty straight forward and was meant to be a survival escape map. The requirements were that it had to be multi-level with key and door systems.

MAYA Projects
The projects below are some Maya projects from school. Besides level design, I have the ability to work in other areas if needed such as in Maya. I also have the ability to build blockouts and complex collision with archetectural details.
